This is a very creative story about a pen’s unlikely life journey on the desk. A story about Arthur and how he got picked by Todd Grady, a star Quarterback who was drafted as the 7th pick of the 20xx New English Patroller Selection. Arthur (Arty the pen) became Todd’s favourite pen.

On the desk one day, he saw “this sleek stylus (Claire) on the other side of the room gliding across a tablet as the soft glow from the screen reflect off her metallic shaft” as the author described it. Arty was instantly hooked.

The book is a story of friendship, loyalty, partnership and even rivalry. I admire the author’s ability to craft a story about pens, crayons, markers and pencils and made it so interesting. Get a copy.

love the author’s approach to the subject; he pointed out that the essence of negotiating is not to win or proof your better or smart. The essence is to understand your giant well enough to enable you get what you want from the negotiations. He has outlined strategies you can employ in getting what you want from the negotiations. What I also love about this book are the illustrations and stories to help understand the application of the strategies outlined in the book. Every manager should read this book.

The author explained how one can increase his or her level of favor by meeting the needs of others; sowing the seeds of favour as he puts it. Joseph enjoyed favour because he kept giving by using his skills (gifts) till it made room for him.He outlined seven practical ways of increasing ones level of favor. My two favorites are; Excellence and Problem solving. The book is an easy read and it will help increase the level of favour you attract into your life.

I read this book for the first time last year and i have just finished reading it again. It is an amazing book. A friend just got me another copy which I am giving out today.10X Rule is the Holy Grail for those who desire success. According to the author, he describes 10X Rule as establishing the right level of actions and thinking that will guarantee success and ensure you continue to operate at this level throughout your life and career.10X is a discipline that can be used by anyone, by putting in 10 times the amount of activity others are not willing to put in. It is having a ferocious approach to meeting your goals. The more action you take, the better your chances of being “Lucky”.Uncle G as @grantcardone is popularly known, said the turning point in his life occurred when he stopped casually waiting for success and instead started to approach success as his duty, obligation and responsibility. If you want to dominate and not just compete in your field, this book is a must read. Remember, “The market place is brutal and will punish anyone who does not take the right amount of action”.

I got my copy of this book by Mrs. Udo Okonjo yesterday. I had preordered it online. I couldn’t wait to lay my hands on it. Once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down till I was done reading it. Although it is directed at women, the principles in this book are universal. It’s a complete guide to real estate investment in Nigeria. Mr. Okonjo brought it home to the Nigeria context that we can all relate to. It is a book for everybody; whether you are a first time real estate investor/home buyer or an astute real estate investor, you will find the information in this book of great benefit. I encourage men to buy this book.

The title of the book immediately grabbed my attention. The author believes a lot of men hide behind different masks of masculinity. As boys, they bought a false definition of a ‘real man’. He believes masculinity is a mirage.

Men do not always meet that false definition of a ‘real man’. So a lot of men pretend and hide behind those masks to appear as ‘real men’. He explained that men attach their self-worth to what they have. To what they do, to their possessions, their role in life, and their bank balance. Men need to understand that they are valuable regardless of what they have. We can never have ‘enough’. Our self-worth should come from our values and principles.

The masks rob men of the ability to be vulnerable and real. It prevents men from expressing their authenticity. Men need to remove these masks of masculinity so they can love, find purpose, be more and do more.

He discussed the nine different masks of masculinity men hide behind in this book. He should have added the Mask of Religion. I like the fact that the author ended his discussion on each Mask by helping women understand their men. So, the book is for everyone.
